Are you constantly seeking to change yourself or fix yourself?
Are you alway seeking more knowledge or wider acceptance or validation from outer sources before you act on or accept your interests, artistry or instincts? Are you waiting until you have it all figured out or some parental figure in your life tells you that you are "ready" or "good enough"? If you are, be careful because it's very likely that that day will never come. It is my experience that even if that day does come and you hear the validation that you have longed for you may very well not believe it because it is not coming from YOU! You are the captain of this ship ~ you are steering the course ~ not anybody else ~ they don't have the right to, only you do! It is time to live life on your own terms and to begin, right now, AS YOU ARE. I think that this comes down to acceptance of what is and self acceptance of who and what we are, right now, in this very moment (the only moment that ever exists btw). Accepting your self and accepting your life and present moment reality is the basis from which you can build an authentic life and a growing creative outlook which leads to a growing creative output. This idea often runs counter to everything that we have been told in life especially after going through an education system where we are often taught to conform, to study and to get it "right". It is most likely that we have never been taught anything about acceptance and or gratitude for what is and where we are right now as a place to work from. Many of us don't have any idea about self forgiveness. Look it up! By the way, don't misunderstand me, acceptance is not giving up or throwing in the towel. Acceptance is an act of honesty and ownership that allows you to notice and acknowledge where you are in your journey. It also allows you to get present, look around you and take stock of what is actually happening in this moment. Acceptance, when practiced, can take you out of fear of all forms. As you practice accepting You and honoring You, you will steadily begin to trust your true inner voice, or as the Bible calls it "the still small voice" within. As you begin to trust it, it grows louder and as the force of it grows and then your instincts will become clearer and then actions will begin to naturally flow out of you and into the world that are unique to you and true to you. What could be better than that? The truth of you, flowing to you, through you and out into the very life that you are dreaming to create. Why wait for permission when you can begin today, AS YOU ARE!? Take a breath, take a walk, take a look around you and begin listening to what you heart is telling you, it will never lead you wrong. Onward forever. www.imdb.me/gregoryhoyt
